(from Facebook - all times are Angolan)

(6am)We're holding out breath today--waiting to see if our passports come back from the Angolan immigration office. We want to get out of here for a few days!
(6pm)No passports today. We're holding out hope for tomorrow. They're actually ready---just waiting for some dude to sign his name on them. They should have been back to us last week. Angolans don't seem to be a schedule-driven as we are!
Tuesaday, October 19
(6am)Still waiting on the passports...We're supposed to head off to Cape Town tomorrow. Yikes!
Wednesday, October 20
(8am)No passports yesterday. I'm thinking some not-so-nice thoughts about the Angolan government right now!
(1pm)We really should have them by Friday morning. We've switched our tickets to Friday afternoon. We're crossing fingers, toes, and anything else we can think of.
(5:30pm)They (the Angolan government) keep them because they can. I think it's a power thing. Apparently, they haven't released any of the oil company passports yet this week. It's just really annoying.

(6:30pm)Miracles do happen! We got our passports about an hour ago. Randy has a secretary at work whose aunt works in the Immigration office. She basically walked into somebody's office, unlocked the desk drawer, and got them for us. They've been ready for days, but they just haven't felt like releasing them. Sooo...We're off ...for a holiday in South Africa. Thank you, Lord!
Good-Bye, Blue Dog...
